Museum Spotlights Rose Parade Floats

Photographs of Rose Parade floats from 1960 to 1996 will be displayed next month at the Santa Paula Union Oil Museum, museum officials have announced.

The “Rose Parade Memories” exhibit will feature color photographs of 26 floats entered in the famous parade by the Union Oil Co. Entries--many of them award-winning--include a 1989 float with a New Orleans Mardi Gras theme and a 1970 float with the theme “Indonesian Holiday.”

Admission to the museum at 1001 E. Main St. is free. The exhibit runs from Jan. 2 to 25. Information: 933-0076.
