Ex-Teacher Pleads No Contest to Sex Charges
A former teacher at George Washington Preparatory High School pleaded no contest Tuesday to misdemeanor sex charges for making child pornography videos.
Rodney Blaine Anderson, 42, entered the plea just before a preliminary hearing on the charges was to begin in Los Angeles Municipal Court. He faces a 16-month state prison term when he is sentenced July 31 by Superior Court Judge Judith Champagne, Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard Ceballos said. Anderson pleaded no contest to three counts of using a minor for sexual acts.
The Los Angeles school district suspended him after he was arrested May 18 in the school principal’s office. Police began an investigation after Anderson loaned a friend what he thought was a martial arts videotape. It turned out to be one of 38 recordings depicting Anderson masturbating with a group of juveniles in his home, authorities said.
