Rochford, who also serves as chairman of the IVC’s School of Fine Arts, said the symphony will perform selections by John Philip Sousa and Richard Rodgers along with a few vocal numbers featuring voice teacher and singer Juliette Singler.

The Summer Wind Symphony includes IVC students as well as other musicians, including so-called “summer musicians” who are too busy to rehearse throughout the year but are able to perform during the summer months.

Some tables and chairs will be provided, and the audience is encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Irvine Valley College is an alcohol-free campus.
