Ex-Senate Hopeful Indicted in Death Plot

A millionaire developer who was a U.S. Senate candidate just three years ago was indicted on charges of trying to arrange the killings of her estranged husband and a lawyer. Police said Ruthann Aron offered to pay a hit man $10,000 apiece for killing her husband, Dr. Barry Aron, and lawyer Arthur Kahn. She was held in jail without bail. Ruthann Aron is charged with attempted murder and solicitation to commit murder, each of which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
