Cameron Made a Regional Manager at CB Commercial

* Sheri Cameron has been named regional information manager for the Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino region of CB Commercial. She had been director of research. In her new position, Cameron will direct a team of information specialists in commercial real estate analysis and serve as public relations director.

* John Sohn has joined J.L. Patterson & Associates, an Orange-based civil and track work engineering firm, as construction manager. He was previously construction manager at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Los Angeles.

* Sherman Smith has been appointed president and chief executive of Chambers Group, an environmental consulting firm in Irvine. He had been executive vice president and chief operating officer for the last three years. In addition, Noel Davis and Mari Schroeder were named vice president. Davis is responsible for managing aquatic and wetlands portions of environmental documents and serves as director of marine/aquatic sciences. Schroeder is director of terrestrial biology. Susan Robbins joined the firm as vice president, planning. She spent 10 years with Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas as a senior project manager.

* John Aubel and Leslie Rodriguez have joined LFC Mortgage Services Inc. in Newport Beach as vice presidents. Aubel was formerly wholesale manager with Kensington Financial Group. He has also held senior management positions with Express Mortgage, American West Financial, EMCA Inc., Mortgage Team of America and First Mortgage Corp. Rodriguez has 19 years’ experience in the Orange County mortgage lending industry.

* Gregory J. Brostek has been named vice president and controller for Leach International North America in Buena Park, a manufacturer of electrical switching and control devices for the aerospace and rail industries. He joined the company from Eaton Corp., where he was a division controller.

* Alex Bajrech has been appointed vice president and fashion director at the Wet Seal Inc., an Irvine clothing retailer. He joined the company in 1994 as a merchandise manager in the product development department. Sheree Waterson was named vice president of merchandising. She has been with the company since 1995 as a merchandise manager, following the acquisition of Contempo Casuals. Waterson had been a merchandise manager with Contempo for two years prior to the merger. Also, Vic Spina has joined the Wet Seal as vice president of store planning and construction. Spina was most recently president of his own company, Architects Plus. Before that, he was director of planning and construction for Sesame Street Retail Store Corp. and director of design and construction for Guess? Inc.

* Michael LaMar has been appointed director of sales and marketing for Proview Technology Inc. in Garden Grove, a subsidiary of Proview International Holdings Ltd. in Hong Kong, a manufacturer of monitors and related products. Before joining the company, LaMar spent two years with Smile International in Costa Mesa, a monitor manufacturer.

* Lisa Porter has been named senior account executive for Hahn Communications in Newport Beach. She was previously public relations administrator for Rockwell Federal Credit Union. In addition, April Wilborn has been appointed account coordinator. Before joining the firm, she worked for the regional sales office of Hawaiian Airlines and for Knott’s Berry Farm.

* Fredric J. Forster has been appointed to the board of directors of New Century Financial Corp. in Irvine. He is a principal of Financial Institutional Partners, LLC, a newly formed investment banking and brokerage firm in Irvine. Before that, Forster was president and chief operating officer of H.F. Ahmanson and Co. and its subsidiary, Home Savings of America.

* Michael Carter has been appointed chief executive of AM Medical Center in Anaheim. He had been chief operating officer. Carter joined the center in 1995 after holding a number of management positions including vice president at Redlands Community Hospital and administrator of FHP Hospital in Fountain Valley (now Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center). Carter succeeds Chris Van Gorder, who is now chief executive of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Barry Arbuckle, chief executive of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, has added the title of executive vice president of Memorial Health Services. Memorial Health Services includes Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, AM Medical Center, Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach and other health-care programs.

* Tom Bogard has joined URS Greiner Inc. to manage its Santa Ana group of offices. He was formerly the Orange County Transportation Authority’s program manager for Measure M. URS Greiner provides planning, architectural/engineering design, surveying and program and construction management services.
