From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Prosecutors must begin turning over evidence this week to lawyers defending Mir Aimal Kansi, accused of shooting two CIA employees to death outside the agency, a judge said. Fairfax County Circuit Judge J. Howe Brown told prosecutors to share all of the information with Kansi’s lawyers by July 18. Kansi was one of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted fugitives before U.S. agents snatched him from his native Pakistan last month. Public Defender Richard Goemann says his office is struggling to be ready by the scheduled Nov. 3 trial date. Kansi, 33, is charged with capital murder and other crimes from the Jan. 25, 1993, shootings.
