Esprit de Corp. Plans Expansion, Catalog

Esprit de Corp. is forging ahead with plans to open dozens of new stores across the country and to relaunch its popular catalog business. The San Francisco-based young woman’s clothing company said it would open 14 new shops by year’s end. Earlier this year, Esprit said it planned to operate 40 new locations within the next several years. At its peak in 1989, Esprit had 80 stores and discount outlets nationwide. Esprit is privately held.
