Homeowners Take Action Against Location Filming

Share

Ralph Jackson, vice president of the Angelo View Homeowners Assn., is fighting mad.

A neighbor has repeatedly rented a house to film crews, allegedly disrupting the neighborhood, and Jackson says his calls to the Los Angeles film office have been largely ignored.

When he has gotten through, “They say that 80% of the neighborhood has signed [waiver] forms permitting the filming,” Jackson said. “We know that’s not true,” he said, because nearly all his neighbors have signed a petition seeking a moratorium on filming.

Michael Bobenko, vice president of the film office, said he doesn’t understand the complaints. Permits were issued for only about 16 days of filming in the neighborhood over the last year, which is “nowhere nearly as frequent as in other city locations,” he said.
