Kennedy Baby Sitter Probe Dropped
Just hours after authorities decided not to prosecute him, Michael Kennedy issued a statement apologizing to the family of the teenage baby sitter with whom he allegedly had an affair. In his first public comments since the allegations arose April 25, the 39-year-old son of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy said: “I intend to do all I can to make up for the serious mistakes I have made and to continue the help I need.” Norfolk County Dist. Atty. Jeffrey Locke said he was dropping his investigation into statutory rape allegations because of a lack of cooperation from the teenager.
