Redford at Camp ‘Whisperer’
From “The Horse Whisperer” location set in Big Timber, Mont., comes word that Kristin Scott Thomas and Robert Redford are happy acting campers--except when they are fighting off droves of mosquitoes that seem to find movie stars particularly tasty.
Redford is not only acting in this project, which is based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Evans, he’s producing and directing as well.
(Notice that his career “control” isn’t seen as a terrible thing. But when Barbra Streisand takes over all aspects of her films . . . well!)
Dianne Wiest and Sam Neill are also in “The Horse Whisperer,” and we understand this Disney film will have an ending different from that of the novel.

There’ll be a preview of the auction of objects that belonged to the late Claudette Colbert on July 27 at her beautiful estate, Bell Rive--now owned by David Geffen. The July 28-30 auction will benefit the National Trust.
