QLogic Corp.: The Costa Mesa designer of semiconductor products recorded net income of $2.2 million, or 35 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter, compared with $967,000, or 16 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended June 29 rose 16% to $18.2 million from $15.7 million.
