GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS
Bennett Construction Co. in Fillmore has received a $180,264 contract from Ventura County to restore the banks of Fagan Canyon. The project, just north of Santa Paula between Howie Court and Santa Paula Cemetery, involves repair work and minor improvements to the side slopes. The work is scheduled to conclude Oct. 23.
* Kevex Instruments Inc. of Valencia won a $155,250 contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Panama City, Fla., for construction, mining, excavating and highway-maintenance equipment.
* Whittaker Corp. of North Hollywood won a $134,400 contract from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma for valves and a $44,730 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for solenoid assemblies.
* Kor Electronics Inc. of Garden Grove won a $99,876 contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center at Point Mugu for digital RF memory modification.
* ITT Corp. of Valencia won a $50,177 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for thermostatic switches.
* Wesco Aircraft Hardware Corp. of Valencia won two contracts from the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia, one for $47,451 for self-locking nuts and one for $29,400 for hardware and abrasives.
* Hydromach Inc. of Canoga Park won a $38,230 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for aircraft components.
* HR Textron Inc. of Valencia won a $37,441 contract from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma for aircraft parts.
