Interlink Electronics in Camarillo announced record revenues of $4.7 million for the quarter ending June 30.

The revenues were up 44% over the second quarter of 1996. VersaPoint pointing products, Interlink’s main product line, spurred the growth, increasing revenues by 49% compared with the second quarter of last year.

Overall, the company reported net income of $273,000 or 6 cents per share, compared with $140,000 and 3 cents per share for the same period in 1996.

“Interlink Electronics’ continued record growth in 1997 can largely be attributed to our market position as dominant worldwide supplier of . . . interactive remote controls,” said E. Michael Thoben, Interlink chairman, chief executive officer and president.

Thoben also said that two new retail products announced in May--the VersaPoint Wireless Keyboard and the VersaPad touchpad due out in July--are industry firsts in their respective categories and will increase the company’s market share.

Interlink’s computer pointing devices include desktop mice, integrated keyboard pointing devices and handheld remote controls with mouse functionality. The company maintains offices in Camarillo and Tokyo.
