Man Sought After Robbery of Store
Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a liquor store clerk at knifepoint over the weekend in Port Hueneme.
Officers responded to a silent alarm about 8:15 p.m. Sunday at Ace’s Liquor, 265 E. Hueneme Road. Police Sgt. Ted Snyder said a man in his 30s entered the business and brandished a large knife at the clerk.
The clerk opened the cash register as ordered, and the robber took an undisclosed amount of cash before running away, Snyder said. The clerk was not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
