Fight or Flight

In the wild, wild world of animals--in this case, a Thousand Oaks backyard--size doesn’t necessarily matter, as this confrontation shows. First the mockingbird nonviolently tries to get its adversary to leave by squawking, above. That doesn’t work, but dive-bombing does. Properly chastised, the hawk finally flies away--perhaps to another nearby but unoccupied backyard.
