Long Beach Financial Corp.: The Orange-based holding company for Long Beach Mortgage Co. said net income for the second quarter totaled $4.9 million, or 19 cents a share. The company, a division of Ameriquest Mortgage Co. before going public on May 2, earned $1.9 million for the 1996 second quarter, net income was $1.9 million. For the first half, net earnings were $9.4 million, or 37 cents a share, compared with $4 million a year earlier.
