Business Training Program Offered

Share

The Business and Professional One Stop Center at Mission College is now enrolling students for its Entrepreneurial Training Program, a seminar designed to help low- to moderate-income people launch their own businesses.

The free program is funded by a $100,000 grant from the city’s Community Development Department and not expected to be impacted by the current budget crisis at the college, said program research coordinator, Ralph Kacy.

Students will learn about business plans, licensing, marketing strategies, tax law and access to counselors from the federal Small Business Administration, Kacy said. Classes will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Aug. 19, and will continue for 18 weeks, Kacy said.
