Delta Air Employees Held in Drug Case

In raids from San Juan’s airport to homes in Florida and Ohio, federal agents arrested nine Delta Air Lines workers suspected of smuggling tons of cocaine for the Cali cartel. They were indicted earlier in the day, along with three other Delta workers who had not been located, said Pedro J. Janer, spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Agency in San Juan. The employees worked in San Juan as ramp, cargo or ticket agents in a three-year period.
