Thursday through Nov. 9: A fall plant festival with talks and plant sales daily, the sales from 1-4:30 p.m. each day with speakers at 2:30 p.m., including Clair Martin, Lili Singer, Pat Welsh and Marc Cathey, at the Huntington Botanical Gardens, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, (626) 405-2141. Saturday: Class on California native plants you can grow, 10 a.m., at Fullerton Arboretum, 1900 Associated Road, Fullerton, (714) 278-3404. $7.

Saturday: Succulent wreath workshop, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont. $45 fee includes materials, with preregistration required by calling (909) 625-8767.
