Cathedral 68, St. Genevieve 14--The Valiants (1-7, 1-4) scored early and late, but in between they were victimized by host Cathedral’s ground game.

Chris Hanks rushed for 463 yards and seven touchdowns in 18 carries for the Phantoms (7-1, 5-0), who racked up 696 total yards, all on the ground.

Hanks scored on runs of 71, two, 57, 40, 44, 70 and 87 yards despite playing only 2 1/2 quarters.

St. Genevieve scored first, on a 19-yard pass play from Eliot Garcia to Daniel Franco, to take a 7-0 lead.

Cathedral followed with 68 unanswered points before the Valiants capped the scoring on a 69-yard pass play from Eddie Beltran to Clifford Rivera.
