Barry Scores Big on TV Trivia Too

Guard Brent Barry has been moving closer to a huge milestone . . . he’s 18 short of collecting every episode of “Seinfeld.”

Barry, averaging 19 points after the first two games, has viewed three live tapings of the show and probably could win a trivia contest with his knowledge of Jerry and the gang.

“There were times I guess I should have been studying on Thursday nights, but hey, Jerry and Elaine and Kramer and George are a lot funnier than statistics or history,” Barry said Monday in an online diary entry for The Sporting News.

“I was a sociology major--and there’s a lot of sociology in the show anyway. . . . It’s a show about nothing, but it’s so cleverly written and acted, you kind of forget about that.”

Swingman Eric Piatkowski, who missed the opening games against Phoenix and Portland, returned to practice Monday.

He was scratched from Friday’s opener when he became dizzy and had problems walking. He was believed to have been suffering from an inner ear infection, and visited an ear-nose-and-throat specialist Monday.
