The Homeless Intervention and Shelter House will hold a fund-raiser today for its efforts to help the city’s homeless find jobs and housing.

The fund-raiser will include an auction featuring items from movie director James Cameron, whose parents live in Placentia.

Cameron donated laser discs of the movies “The Abyss” and “Terminator 2,” along with a life preserver vest, afghan and framed, autographed poster from his latest movie, “Titanic.” Other auction items include golf and vacation packages and jewelry. Donations are accepted up to the day of the event.
