Boy Critically Hurt, Man Wounded in Alley Shooting
A shooting in a Whittier alley early Monday left two people wounded, one critically, police said.
Police responding to a shots-fired call found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the head in an alley in the 7600 block of Milton Avenue at 2:48 a.m., police said.
The boy was taken to St. Francis Medical Center and is listed in critical condition, police said. The second victim, a 19-year-old man, was found one block away in the same alley with a wound to the shoulder, investigators said.
Police said they had not determined if the shooting was gang-related. Names of the victims were not released. No one has been arrested.
