‘Green Fish’ to Open Korean Cinema Series

A 20-film series, “Post-Colonial Classics of Korean Cinema,” opens tonight at UC Irvine with the contemporary epic “Green Fish,” which marks the directorial debut of acclaimed screenwriter Chang-dong Lee (“A Single Spark,” “To the Starry Island”).
The series resumes in January, then continues weekly through March. The films will be screened in the new theater in Room 100, Humanities Instructional Building, at Campus Drive and West Peltason. Information: (714) 824-2227.
