Allstate Gives $5.75 Million to Revitalize Community

Allstate Insurance Co. announced Wednesday that it will commit $5.75 million to help revitalize the Crenshaw community and will open a sales and service office at 3432 W. 43rd St.
Allstate will make a $3.5-million loan to Seaway National Bank for low-interest home improvement loans. In addition, for residents who do not qualify for conventional bank financing, Allstate will make $1 million in loans to the Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services for low-interest loans.
The insurance company also awarded a $1.25-million grant to enable the Crenshaw community to finance neighborhood revitalization projects, safety programs, insurance education and youth initiatives over the next five years.
