Santa Paula 35, Fillmore 14--Willie Zavala threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, leading the Cardinals (4-6) past the Flashes (2-8) at Santa Paula in the 87th meeting between the teams.

Zavala, who completed 10 of 14 passes for 185 yards, threw scoring passes of 13 yards to Matt Kolbeck and 29 yards to Frank Perez. Kolbeck caught five passes for 114 yards and one touchdown and also intercepted two passes.

Fillmore quarterback Phillip Zavala, Willie’s cousin, threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Oseguera and ran for a three-yard touchdown. He completed 12 of 21 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown.
