Laura Huxley, the widow of author and philosopher Aldous Huxley, will speak at California Lutheran University on Sunday.

Huxley, 82, is a concert violinist, psychotherapist, author and founder of Our Ultimate Investment, a 20-year-old organization that focuses on children’s issues. A popular public speaker, she uses a discussion format during her speaking engagements.

Born in Turin, Italy, she studied violin with many of Europe’s well-regarded teachers. As a teenager, she made her concert debut at Carnegie Hall in New York. In 1956, she married Aldous Huxley. After his death in 1963, Laura Huxley wrote “This Timeless Moment: A Personal View of Aldous Huxley.”
