Come on, guys. Make up your minds. I’m getting very confused. Not long ago the establishment cajoled, lured and recruited professionals from all careers. Go into teaching. It’s a cinch. Anyone can become a teacher instantly. Now universities are demanding tougher requirements for new teachers. Bring back the education degree. That’ll fix our deteriorating education system.

Does anyone remember the old-fashioned three Rs: Reading, ‘Riting and ‘Rithmetic? When communities finally remember, recognize and return to the three basics of education--parents parenting, teachers teaching and students studying--then mendacious articles and cartoons dumping on teachers will be history, no longer distracting me from the important tasks at hand, like grading my English essays.
