Beach Blvd. Prostitution Sweep Nets 38 Arrests
Thirty-eight men were arrested during a weekend prostitution sweep along Beach Boulevard, according to police.
The men each allegedly solicited acts of prostitution from undercover officers in the sting operation, Anaheim Police Lt. Jim Flammini said. Female police officers from Anaheim, Orange, Buena Park and Cypress participated in the sweep.
Two of the men also were arrested on alleged drug violations, Flammini said. Suspects who were driving had their cars towed and impounded, Flammini said.
The periodic sweeps are part of a police effort to deter an entrenched prostitution problem along the Beach Boulevard corridor, police said.
