Travelers Face Busiest Day of Year at Airport

Share

If you’re flying out of Los Angeles International Airport today, be prepared to mingle with a crowd. The day before Thanksgiving is traditionally the busiest day of the year at the airport, which is expecting 200,000 passengers to depart and arrive from the facility.

“We are asking people to allow enough time to get to their planes,” said airport spokeswoman Pat Schoneberger. “That means two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight.”

Also, passengers are being told that no curbside parking will be allowed and no curbside check-in of luggage is permitted for international flights and planes to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam.
