IRS

* The IRS is claiming to reform the way it does business. The recent PR campaign is not enough. The Laguna Niguel IRS office needs to look at its policies on selling seized property. In August they seized a vehicle that had a lien holder on the title. They illegally seized a vehicle that did not belong to the non-taxpayer they were after. That vehicle was then sold to me at an auction.

I am now stuck with a vehicle that I cannot get a pink slip for. Numerous calls to the IRS and DMV have gotten me nowhere. The IRS should have checked for liens with DMV before the seizure and failed to do so. They should be held accountable for basically “stealing” this vehicle. I will pursue every legal channel to make sure the IRS resolves this matter. The IRS should not be above the law.
