Homeless Shelter Seeks Goodies for Gift Bags

Share

The Friendship Shelter, a haven for homeless men and women, serves breakfast to its residents on Christmas and provides each person with a gift bag.

The bag usually includes practical items, including socks, umbrellas or other things the residents can use in their daily lives. Shelter organizers are seeking donations for the bags, and volunteer help preparing the gifts.

The Friendship Shelter provides housing, a variety of support services and three meals at no charge to 29 homeless adult men and women daily, for up to 60 days.
