Consumer products conglomerate Fortune Brands Inc. said it agreed to acquire Los Angeles-based Creative Specialties Inc. for about $30 million, adding the potential to offer lines of bathroom accessories that complement its faucets. The maker of Moen faucets, Titleist golf equipment and Jim Beam bourbon said it will combine Creative Specialties with its Moen unit. Los Angeles-based Creative Specialties, which does business under the CSI-Donner name, has annual sales in the range of $50 million, Fortune said. . . . New York-based Ogden Corp. said it purchased the Pacific Energy unit of Los Angeles-based Pacific Enterprises for $70 million to $80 million in cash, buying power plants in four states that will help it compete in a deregulated electricity market. . . . Encino-based security firm Pinkerton’s Inc. said it has acquired Montreal-based G.E.S.S. Alarms Inc. for undisclosed terms.
