This Friday the thin crescent moon, Venus...
This Friday the thin crescent moon, Venus and Mars are grouped close to each other in the southwest in the evening sky. Brilliant Venus lies directly below the moon, while Mars is a similar distance to the moon’s lower left. The orange star to the left of Mars is Antares, the brightest star in Scoripus and the rival of Mars in color. Look about 8 p.m. before they set. The moon is also near these planets on Saturday and Monday.
