U.S. in Bosnia
When this administration sent our military to Bosnia it was pledged that it would be for one year only. That promise was later broken when it was extended six more months to June 1998. Now there is a possibility that our tenure there may again be extended--this time for God knows how long. (Sound like Vietnam?) How can you believe anything this administration promises--no wonder the morale of our military is at an all-time low. Many young people today are questioning whether a career in the military is a good choice.
Every parent of our military young in Bosnia should revolt at the lack of direction and trust in this administration. We send enough support in supplies, expertise and finances to that area--we don’t need to send our sons and daughters as well.
