Study of Lambert, Harbor Site to Begin

Share

A $55,000 environmental study of a potential redevelopment plan at Lambert Road and Harbor Boulevard soon will begin.

The City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, last week approved the study to examine potential environmental effects should a large business move to the property.

The owner of the property has been trying to sell it, and City Manager Jerry L. Bankston has been involved in negotiations in hopes of attracting a major business. Should the unnamed business buy the property, the city could receive significant sales and property tax revenue, officials said.
