Ad Signs Will Give Top Billing to City

Share

Two advertising signs will rise more than 100 feet above the Artesia and Santa Ana freeways under a deal approved by city officials after nearly four years of debate and study.

Buena Park-based Bulletin Displays will build and install the signs and make their profit from the advertising.

Each will display an electronic message center and regular fixed panels for ads.

Atop the signs will be the city’s name.

The signs will stand at Western Avenue and the Santa Ana Freeway and at Beach Boulevard and the Artesia Freeway.

“The city gets top billing,” said Mark A. Kudler, a partner with the company.

The signs are free to the city, according to community development director Rick Warsinski.

Bulletin Displays is hoping to install the advertising signs within six months to a year, Kudler said.
