Promise Keepers
In Robert Scheer’s Oct. 7 Column Left regarding the Promise Keepers rally in Washington, he alluded to how politically correct the organization had been in presenting such a diverse groups of speakers. Even though his column was meant to present a positive side of the rally, I yet wonder why attempting to do the “right thing” is looked upon as being politically correct.
Why can’t earnest attempts to right centuries of incorrect behavior be praised rather than criticized? If all the speakers had been white, black, or etc., this also would have been criticized. You can’t win nowadays!
