Wilson on GOP

So Gov. Pete Wilson decides to scold the GOP for lack of political courage and lost passion (Oct. 5). Wilson believes that the failure to oust Democrats from the White House is a result of his party’s waiting for the Democratic Party collapse under the weight of scandals. He doesn’t seem to see what’s happening in his own state. Wilson fails to see that his extremist right-wing views and his demagogic ways are exactly what the GOP needs the least.

Wilson affirms his interest in making a second try at the White House, but says he is not an active candidate because he is too busy with his current job. Of course, he is too busy fighting the anti-gun lobby, pushing for anti-immigration initiatives and fighting against affirmative action. How perfect for a right-wing extremist hoping for a GOP presidential nomination. Wilson’s tiptoeing into presidential candidacy is sure to become a big stumble into embarrassment.
