Olivas Adobe to Open Doors for Ghost Tour
Scary stories and unsolved mysteries will be the staple of a guided Halloween Ghost Tour at Olivas Adobe in Ventura on Oct. 25.
Historical interpreters dressed in period costumes will lead guests on a 30-minute walk through the house, built in 1847.
Legends such as the story of the “Lady in Black,” who wanders restlessly through the grounds, and a visit to a “Garden of Ghoulish Delights” await visitors.
Organizers suggest warm clothes for the tour, much of which is conducted outside. Parents should also warn young children that sudden screams and sound effects are part of the presentation.
Tours begin at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. A new tour leaves every 15 minutes.
Tickets, which are available at the door, are $5. For advance tickets, call the Community Services Office at 658-4726.
Olivas Adobe is located at 200 Olivas Park Drive.
