Horse Show Winners to Compete Oct. 23-26

Top equestrians will compete Oct. 23-26 at the 14th annual Orange County Horse Show Assn. Championship at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Contestants will jump horses and ponies over obstacles from 2 to 5 feet high.

Spectator events on Oct. 26 will include open jumping classes, relays and--in honor of Halloween--costumed horses.

The 200 competitors qualified by winning first, second or third in their divisions at association-sanctioned shows throughout the year. The association, dedicated to promoting equestrian sports and ensuring safe competition, oversees about 70 shows a year.
