Free Flu Vaccinations Offered for Senior Citizens

The American Red Cross is offering free flu vaccinations to seniors citizens at 53 community sites in Los Angeles County until Nov. 12, marking the 22nd year the shots have been made available to the public.

The free vaccine is available to people 60 or older, or those who have chronic illnesses such as pulmonary, cardiovascular and renal disorders or who have HIV/AIDS.

Last year, more than 15,000 senior citizens and other at-risk people received vaccinations through the program.
