Free Flu Vaccinations Offered for Senior Citizens
The American Red Cross is offering free flu vaccinations to seniors citizens at 53 community sites in Los Angeles County until Nov. 12, marking the 22nd year the shots have been made available to the public.
The free vaccine is available to people 60 or older, or those who have chronic illnesses such as pulmonary, cardiovascular and renal disorders or who have HIV/AIDS.

Flu vaccinations--A story in The Times on Saturday contained an incorrect telephone number for senior citizens to obtain information about free flu vaccinations to be given by the American Red Cross in Los Angeles County. The correct number is (888) 575-3437.
Last year, more than 15,000 senior citizens and other at-risk people received vaccinations through the program.
