Los Alamitos to Seek $181,000 in U.S. Housing Grants
A program to rehabilitate aging homes for low- and moderate-income residents leads a list of community projects that city officials hope to fund through a federal grant program.
The City Council on Monday will consider asking for up to $181,000 in funds from the department of Housing and Urban Development.
The city’s wish list for Community Development Block Grant funds includes $60,000 for its housing rehabilitation program; $51,000 to build restrooms at Little Cottonwood Park; $35,000 to partially fund a city housing position; and $35,000 to replace equipment at Soroptimist Park.
