Hospital Hosts Support Meeting for Disabled

St. Joseph’s Hospital in Ojai will be the host of the Handicapables meeting at 11 a.m. today. Handicapables is a worldwide organization that provides “free spiritual and social enrichment for the physically disabled,” said Ed Conway, who coordinates transportation to the get-togethers.

“It’s nonsectarian--we hold meetings in different locations each month,” he added. Registration is at 11 a.m. An optional 11:30 Mass will be followed by lunch, a social hour and entertainment, all of which are free. The clergyman for October, Father Kevin Bray, uses a wheelchair.
