Share

Temple Beth Torah in Ventura will offer a Jewish holiday series as part of its adult education program starting Oct. 27. Twenty-two sessions will be scheduled throughout the year and will cover all aspects of creating Jewish experiences in the home, said the program’s teacher, Bette Goldenring.

Open to the public, the course will be held at the temple at 7620 Foothill Road. Workshop topics will cover celebrating Shabbat at home, planning Passover Seders and creating Hanukkah traditions. Songs, recipes and history will be part of the classes, Goldenring said, and students will learn about every facet of Judaism.

While oriented toward parents of religious-school children, the series is open to single people and couples without children. For more information on enrollment and tuition, call 643-6408.
