Another Chance for Flower Power
Didn’t make it to last Sunday’s much-heralded 30th anniversary celebration of the Summer of Love in San Francisco? You still can catch historic tours of that city’s fabled Haight-Ashbury district on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.; $15 per person. Although the 2 1/2-hour tour has been offered for several years, it has new operators, Pam Brennan and her brother Bruce, both veterans of the Summer of Love. “I was a flower child, and I’m proud of it,” says Pam, who with Bruce runs Herb’s Inn B&B; in the Haight district.
