Opportunities for Volunteering

CliniShare Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide emotional support to terminally ill patients and their families living in the San Fernando Valley. Training and support are provided by staff of the Mission Hills-based hospice. For information, call Lianne Casselman at (800) 346-7742.

The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles seeks volunteers for its Women Helping Women Services counseling program. Volunteers will be trained as paraprofessional telephone counselors to assist clients suffering from abuse, depression, health problems and other issues. Women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, especially those fluent in Spanish, Russian and Farsi.
