Linda I. Smith-Tinkler; 32-Year County Resident
Linda I. Smith-Tinkler of Port Hueneme, a homemaker and 32-year resident of Ventura County, died Friday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. She was 93.
Smith-Tinkler was born Oct. 9, 1904, in Newton, Iowa.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, president of the Rebecca Lodge, and an Eastern Star member in Burbank. She also was a past president of the Port Hueneme Senior Citizens Club.
Family members say she enjoyed making crocheted dolls.
Smith-Tinkler is survived by daughter Harriet A. Morgan of Camarillo; son Wilke W. Smith of Woodland Hills; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Griffin Chapel in Camarillo. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assn. and Gideons International.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Camarillo.
