Library Hours Grow to Include Sundays

Share

For the first time in 23 years, the city library will be opening its doors on Sundays.

Beginning Sunday, the main library will be open from 1 to 5 p.m.

“Our library is busy all the time,” said Ron Hayden, library services director. “In an era where cities are cutting back on their services, this is a testament to the needs of residents.”

Hayden said the library had been looking for ways to open on Sundays for some time. The City Council voted to include about $100,000 in this year’s budget to fund the Sunday hours.
