800 Pot Plants Found; O.C. Woman Is Sought
Police were searching Tuesday night for an Orange County woman after they discovered about 800 marijuana plants in an industrial building in which she was the tenant.
On Monday, a car veered off the road and crashed into the structure, Riverside police said. When officers arrived, they found six trailers inside the building filled with hundreds of pot plants and expensive cultivation equipment.
It was “a very elaborate operation” with “grow lights up above, fans and water systems on timers,” Riverside Police Sgt. Gary Crawford said.
The trailers were towed to a police substation to be held as evidence.
Narcotics investigators were continuing their search Tuesday night for the woman, whom they described as an Orange County resident in her 40s.
